She Received ₦3,000,000 in Support from the John Chi Foundation
Ms. Deborah John, a Nigerian national, shared her emotional testimony of the hardship she endured while living in Lagos, India, where she was trapped in prostitution under inhumane conditions. Overcome with emotion, she recounted years of pain, exploitation, and loss of dignity. In response, the John Chi Foundation, in partnership with its supporters, provided her with a financial empowerment grant of three million naira (₦3,000,000) to help her rebuild her life. Ms. Deborah has committed to returning to Nigeria to start anew and to support others who remain in similar situations of bondage and exploitation.
